I've been avoiding to comment on the finger-pointing between the candidates over TV ads, but did note a new poll out by Survey USA showing Nelson still among the most popular US Senators, but he has dropped down to a net 41% approve (from a high of +53%) and to a #9 among his peers. The trend shows an almost imperceptable narrowing between his approval/disapproval, but nowhere near his low of 31% back in Sept 2005. I doubt it will be enough to let Ricketts into the race in a meaningful way. Pete has a lot of work to do, but he does have the money to do it. If he could ever get his campaign people to stick around, he might be able to narrow the race.
