NE Senate race

The other big political race here in NE is for the US Senate. Fromer governor & current Democratic incumbent Ben Nelson will face one of three Republican challengers. Former State Attorney General Don Stenberg is the self-annointed front runner, having lost narrowly to Nelson six years ago. Omaha businessmen Pete Ricketts of Ameritrade and Omaha lawyer Dave Kramer are challenging Stenberg for the right to face off against Nelson. The primary race probably boils down to Ricketts dollars against Stenberg's name recognition. Kramer is probably a long shot, but is traveling heavily throughout the state in an attempt to gaintraction with the electorate.
